Capybaras are mostly found in Central South America.
They are also found by lakes, ponds, marshes, and swamps. Capybaras also are found in Panama, Colombia< Venezuela, Guyana, Perú, Brazil, Paraguay, Northeast Argentina and Uruguay.
Diet
The capybaras eat their own poop. Plus capybaras are herbivores and they eat the vegetation in the water. They only eat there poop because it breaks down the grass and the vegetation.Other things they eat are grasses and bark.

There predators are harpy eagle and the jaguar. They live in the forest floor. It’s lifespan is 8-10 years. When they are young they are called pups. When threatened it rolls into the water and hides beneath the surface. Capybaras can hold their breath for about 5 mins!
